- In the nature-oriented family park Olperl’s mountain world on the Helm, everything revolves around the charming Sexten mythical figure “Olperl”. Who or what is it? Come and find out! Right at the top station begins a 1.5-kilometre circular trail promising adventure for the whole family and revealing many of the little mountain spirit’s secrets. Along the route, ten exciting stations await, including climbing logs, a barefoot path, a viewing tower and water play features. For parents, there is fresh mountain air and open views of the pale peaks of the Sexten Dolomites. The circular walk is family-friendly and easily manageable with a pushchair. Refreshments for little adventurers are available at the Helm restaurant at the start and end of the trail.
- The creatively designed Felsengeister adventure trail on the Rotwand takes visitors into the world of the Dolomites. Along a 2.5-kilometre circular route, 15 interactive stations present the legends and myths of the region – and an encounter with the cunning mountain witch is not out of the question! Young adventurers explore the Edelweiss King’s herb garden or listen to the stories of ancient tree giants. The trail starts directly at the Rotwand top station and, with a walking time of just under 60 minutes and only 90 metres of elevation gain, is ideal for a relaxed family outing. At the start and end points, two family-friendly huts await hungry explorers: Rotwandwiesenhütte and Rudi Hütte huts.
- Behind the seven mountains, with the seven dwarfs… well, not quite that far! In the neighbouring village of Innichen, two exciting adventure parks await on the Haunold: the dwarf village and the giant realm Haunold. From the top station, a pushchair-friendly circular trail leads to ten interactive stations centred around the legend of the friendly Dolomite giant Haunold.
Right next door, beyond the shimmering footprint lakes, there is plenty for younger children to explore: visiting dwarfs in their forest huts or climbing up to treehouses via ladders and suspension bridges. Parents can enjoy the scenery or join in the adventure. The grand finale? A ride back down on the Funbob – South Tyrol’s longest summer toboggan run. Of course, only if you feel like it!
More than Alpine pastures and adventure.
