Alpinisteig

The Alpinisteig is one of the most impressive historic via ferratas in the Sesto Dolomites. It was built during the First World War by Italian Alpine troops and leads through a unique high-mountain landscape offering spectacular views. Although the route is not particularly difficult from a technical point of view, its length and the possibility of snowfields – particularly at the start of the season – mean it requires a good level of fitness and alpine stamina.

Accompanied by an experienced mountain guide, you’ll experience a varied tour that impressively combines history and nature. Those staying overnight at the Zsigmondy Hut can conveniently start the tour directly from there.
