A rewarding, traditional walk with a panorama factor
Stout boots and a little bit of fitness are required.
You do not need more to see the best side of the Sesto Dolomite mountains up close. The Three Peaks hike, also calles Sesto hut round, is the most established traditional walk and should be done by all visitors who want the genuine Dolomite mountain feeling without climbing equipment. This day tour is comparatively easy to handle, starts from the Val Fiscalina and leads through the Bacherntal valley to the Comici hut. It takes you past the imposing Cima Dodici and further on to the Pian di Cengia hut up to the Locatelli hut. This naturally comes with a view of the imposing north faces of the Three Peaks! The return path leads past the Laghi dei Piani lakes and through the Val di Sasso Vecchio valley.
Is it now time for… a summit experience? A short detour on the way from the Comici hut to the Pian di Cengia hut leads to the Croda Fiscalina peak (2,674 m). This peak can be reached via a small but rewarding detour of approximately 20 minutes and offers great vistas of the Val di Sasso Vecchio valley to the Torre di Toblin and the Cima Una peaks.
